Or in proper southern German, Austrian and Swiss: Schweinsbraten.
In the rest of Germany (Prussia): Schweinebraten.
Small but important differences.

For the UK & others: Roast Pork.

Cooked in dark beer and served with all sorts of things which have different names in Bavaria to the rest of Germany - Blaukraut, Semmelknöden.

An absolute Bavarian standard dish. Not sure if it beats Schweinshaxe on Blip chef Nogbad's ranking list.

Today's lunch at the canteen at work. There were about 20 such crusty joints! Angel Eyes is not far away from being a vegetarian but.........!

Long day again for her 5:30 leave home, return 21:30 but did include an hour of "Line Dancing" at work and a fitness work out in Ottobeuren.
