A long journey home

This picture does not do justice to the three inch deep crater that caused my colleagues car to puncture on our way home tonight! Straight after us a man behind us also shared a similar fate! It took over an our to get the tyre changed ( thanks Amy's dad !) and to then jump start the car as the battery had flattened with the hazards and side lights on! Home very late and am only just defrosting my feet! The highways agency should be ashamed of themselves, as you can see by their red spray paint, they were aware of it. We rang the non emergency police number and they said they would pass it on, just glad all and everyone's ok
