wedding, day two

today was the day that kristin married david. hoorah!

we woke up in our swanky hotel and then headed over to kristin's parents to get ready. i got my first taste of 'chick-fil-A' which was better than i could have imagined. twelve bridesmaids, two flowers girls and a bride to get ready.....it was a quite the operation!

we got on a bus to the church, had some pictures taken and then watched, teary eyed, as kristin and david made their vows to each other. beautiful!

then the best part of the whole weekend, the most amazing reception i've ever been to. an incredible venue, more great southern food, amazing band and dancing and some of the most wonderful people i have ever met.

i am well known for my aversion to americans (mostly in jest!) but i have never met a more warm, loving and welcoming group of people anywhere in the world. i feel like i've returned to england with a whole other family.

incredible day, worth every single hour of travelling.
