Concentration.

The son's been staying in Glasgow with his sister this weekend so I was given the honorary status of zoo keeper for the duration. This little lad is a rather large (for his species) male leopard gecko and he has appeared here before. However he is nocturnal and normally I am not allowed to waken him up during the day to take pictures. However, he has been reluctant to eat for me and so when I tried him with a couple of waxworms this morning hunger overcame his normal reticence and came out for a feed. I of course seized on the opportunity - as the camera was just lying around next to the vivarium!

Got a couple of shots in but then the batteries on my flash died so let him go back to bed. Kinda like the concentration he is showing in this one though. Gecko in full hunting mode.
