Where has the day gone?

Thank goodness the days are getting a bit longer or we might have found ourselves blipless today. After a very busy day, R went down to the river where we can usually be sure of a blip but not today. The swans were paddling about in the mud, the shots of the gulls were out of focus, the moscovy duck was hiding behind marooned tree and so on ... A quick dash into the garden was necessary before dark and although there were quite a lots of snowdrops, they hadn't drooped their heads! Then we spotted these soft fruits on a winter flowering azalea - at least that is what we think it is. The flowers are very tiny, white and feathery and the seeds are a bit bigger than a pea, but smaller than a grape. So, it has to be these seed heads. Phew!
