Storm at Lyme Regis
Today's blip was taken from Charmouth, which is a few miles east along the coast from Lyme Regis at around low tide. There was evidence here of the high tide this morning which had deposited several inches of pebbles across the sea front car park.
In the picture Lyme Regis sea front is on the right with the the Cobb wall running out to the white buildings on the left Although the sea is still rough the waves were mostly blown out leaving just a heavy surf running onto the beach.
The forecasted rain has just started together with high winds. The next high tide will be in the early hours of the morning You can see more in "Large"
