Deer hunt

This is Toby at the end of our walk this morning. We walked around Ravenroyd and the stables through the fields and woods of St Ives and Marley. As you can see it was a bit muddy but worth it!

We wanted to see deer. We usually spot one or two in this area throughout the year but in the last week members of our group have seen whole groups of them in the fields and on the edge of the woods.

We were in luck again but I find holding the telephoto lens still enough quite hard so this is the best of the bunch!

I do quite like this impressionist shot though of a single fawn sat at the edge of the wood. It is a deer, honestly.

I am so pleased I don't have to take Toby home with me!
