lame self portrait

Today- got a haircut, went to lunch with the family, my friend showed up, we all went to my grandparents, and then to my little brother's marching band competition.

Their band was phenomenal. Definitely the most in-sync, muscially, and the most energetic. They played Channel One Suite, a great jazz piece. I swear that school will pop out at least a couple of the greates jazz musicians of our generation.

close to my chest, and a few
strands of my hair sticking to your lips
cuz you lick them too much when it gets cold out.

i can feel your smile when you're that close-
it's like swallowing the sun.
