These are the days...

Another one bites the dust!!

In pondering our Halloween Day and what picture of the day to blip, I decided that my most favorite part of the day was the unexpected excitement that came from handing out candy to our fellow trick or treaters!

We had a very relaxing day at home this morning, attended a Halloween Party at a friend from preschool's house, came home and rested and then enjoyed pizza and trick or treating with family! It was pretty cold and windy, and since we already got tons of candy from campus yesterday, we kept the outing short and got home, so we could hand out candy ourselves. And, of course, so Dad could watch the Ducks beat USC!

Anyways, the kids LOVED handing out candy. I was thrilled because I didn't have to go up and down our steps every five seconds. I was worried, just sure Mia was going to tumble down the stairs at any given moment, and I was contented watching the kids enjoy such a simple pleasure. They would diligently hand out equal candy to each child and then would yell "HAPPY HALLOWEEN" as they left. Then, they would slam the door to make sure it shut (our door doesn't always shut easily) and I would laugh wondering if the trick or treaters were wondering why the door just got slammed!!

At some point in the festivities, Tyler started wearing my shoes and Mia wearing Tylers. And they were jumping around the living room, being goofy. Every time the doorbell would ring, Tyler would jump out of my shoes to run to the door. This picture was snapped right as the shoes were ditched, and you can totally see one shoe still in the air! It was so stinking cute!
