Happy As A .....

... pony in mud!

Had a lovely dry walk this morning. Saw two deer but they were too quick for me to get a photo. Took some shots of the waterfall but wasn't really inspired.

I was just heading back to the house when I spotted One Eyed Willie heading for the river. I could tell he was on a mission. So, I hurried to the other riverbank to see what he was up to. He started to scrape at the mud with his hoof, looked at me as if to say 'are you watching' then lay down and rolled about. He looked very pleased with himself.

I took Roxy back to the house and headed back out to the shop. When I passed, Willie's friend was now rolling in the mud as Willie stood by and watched.

I know it isn't the sharpest of photos but I couldn't resist. It made me laugh to watch him enjoying his mud bath.
