Back to reality

After the sunlit fishing boats in harbour yesterday, it felt as if we'd entered a parallel universe today as we waited for the ferry at the end of our journey home. The hills still show traces of the weekend's snow and the sea was a gurly slate colour throught which we ploughed.

And it feels so very cold. A major drawback to these enter holidays is the contrast in temperature: today the thermometer said 7 Celsius, but it felt much colder - and the house has been really hard to reheat.
