This 80 seater mobile cinema, with a wonderful first class red plush interior is where the Eriskay (in the Outer Hebrides) film festival was screened. Neil the only man in charge of it had managed to get it into the tiny car park of the wind-turbine charged community centre, unfolded and levelled. He projected all the films, let late comers in with the utmost courtesy, and at the end of the festival folded it all up and drove away north into the midnight sun to park up in a layby in South Uist.
In South Uist when you drive North, you are driving down, and when you drive South you are driving up. In North Uist it is the other way round. They don't really talk to each other anyway, so it's not much of a problem.
