Midland Hotel Manchester

We went to see the Dragon Procession for Chinese New Year. It was so crowded I couldn't get any decent pictures of it. Later we went to a Strauss Concert at the Bridgewater Hall and I took this shot of the Midland Hotel from there. It was built in the Edwardian Baroque style by the Midland Railway and was for passengers from London St Pancras. In 1904, Charles Stewart Rolls and Frederick Henry Royce met there and formed the Rolls Royce Motor Company.
