flower remnant

While on a walk around our neighborhood, I spotted this remnant of a flower. It looked kind of lonely out there in the snow. The sun cast an interesting shadow too.

The groundhog saw his shadow this morning - I guess 6 more weeks of winter is on the way . . . sigh
