Abnormal Load !

This morning an early rise for a Sunday to pop into town to see a very big and heavy load coming through the city center to its final destination just down the road from where we live.

It had made the journey from Sheffield to finish up at Bifrangi screw press. It parked up over night on the Lincoln bypass to carry on its journey this morning .
The trailer it is been transported on is pulled by 1 truck and pushed by another and the trailer is made up of 18 axles 8 wheels on each one. This piece looks like a giant Lego block but weighs in at over 250 tons.
Once they got down Stamp end it had to get under a railway bridge with a Max height of 4.5 mtrs whoops to tall so they had to lower the wheel base down to make it fit.
It finally got under the bridge at just after 6.00 tonight manged to get a few poor quality shots on my mobile which can be seen with a few other shots of its journey through town Here. Was spoilt for choice so many to choose from.

More again next week as they will be bringing another piece this one even bigger and heavier but not so tall .
