Snow Day

A nightmare of a day. Started Ok Lewis a wee Down syndrome child gave me a burl on the office chair. We were nearly late for assembly.
It started to snow before lunch and by the time it was over it was quite heavy which means ten times worse in Leadhills. So when one of the local kids had to leave as the taxi was worried I got sent too. The snow was really slushy and even the main road hadn't been ploughed or even gritted. Turned off for Leadhills and got up the first we hill round the corner and spun out. A full 180 degrees! Thankfully to the right the other side has a huge drop. So shaking horribly I continued up the rest dreading the Nurses Brae. Found 2 cars stuck one half way the other at the top corner. A van driver had stopped to help. So I had to slowly drive past praying I didn't get stuck myself or worse something started down . Made it and thankfully a local with a tractor and plough front arrived and had cleared a path. Again on the wrong side. Still shaking at bedtime. I was lucky a car had totally overturned on the Abington road. They seem to have severely cut their ploughing.
