Happy Beach Sunflowers

We have reverted back to our sunny and warm winter days with a vengeance. The sky is blue and it seemed like a wonderful day to walk around the Palma Sola Botanical Park and see what is blooming. We are blessed to have a wonderful nature park very close to our house so when it is pretty outside, it is not far to enjoy some flowers and water features which are so calming.
These beach sunflowers are obviously happy where they are sited and are happily blooming away. The can get long and leggy, but these are in their prime. Vigorous trimming keeps them looking good. And of course water also helps; these are properly irrigated. They are pretty drought tolerant, but thrive with a little more water.
