To spare you even more Smokey pictures, I've begun photographing shelves of books on days when I have no other pictures. These are my earliest books - that is, those covering the earliest periods of time. They are in a narrow dark corridor that leads from my living room to the bathroom so I had to use a very wide angle and stand as far away from the books as possible.

This is a traditional American song that everyone seemed to record in the early sixties, from Bob Dylan to Sonny and Cher and Jackie DeShannon, and it later became a hit in a revised country version by Bobby Bare. This new version, from the Coen Brothers film Inside Llewyn Davis, set in the Greenwich Village scene of that period, borrows from contemporary versions from the likes of the Kingston Trio and Peter, Paul and Mary.
