#100happydays 1/100
I decided to try the #100happydays thing on the grounds that rarely a day goes by that I can't find something to make me happy. I'm fortunate like that.
So yesterday I went to watch Wales v Italy at the Millenium Stadium with 2 Welshmen, 2 Italians and a Spaniard. Great time had by all, a win for Wales, lovely company and many many laughs.
But what made my day was Rafael, the little boy in the picture who at that point looked like he would rather be anywhere else. He said very little pre-match, he and his gorgeous little sister were quiet and impeccably behaved at City Hall. But once we were in the Stadium, once he savoured the atmosphere and his beloved Italians were on the pitch, what a transformation! He sang his anthem with such passion, and cheered and shouted, and cheered some more for the whole 80 minutes, to the delight and amusement of all around him.
So a fabulous day all round, but for much of yesterday Rafael was the highlight of the first of my #100happydays :-)
Oh PS - England losing? No of course that didn't make me happy, how dare you suggest such a thing!
