Up with the sheep
if not exactly the lark.
This morning I decided I'd had enough of mud so left a sleeping house around 9 and went for a walk on Old Winchester Hill. Old Winchester Hill is a Bronze Age hill fort and nature reserve and this time of year it's grazed by rare breeds sheep. As y0u can see, the sheep have white faces and quite dark fleeces, but I don't know what breed that makes them.
Despite the fact it was a beautiful morning, it wasn't quite the wall-to-wall sunshine we'd been promised, but this fetching, if rather cross-looking, dame was standing on the ramparts catching a smidge of sun.
Hope you've managed to catch some too. Happy Sunday xx
