Brumal Buds

This morning is shrouded in a soft, silvery mist as the temperatures warm up and the snow cover slowly evaporates. These little magnolia buds remain tightly swaddled in their fuzzy grey-green jackets, waiting a few more months before putting on their frilly pink party dresses.
