Up The Pole
Acting on the tip off from another friend, His Lordship and I jammed our hats securely on our heads, wrapped scarves round our necks, and fought our way through a gusting wind to find this Christmas tree-up-a-pole blip in Gilmore Place.
And there it was in all its post seasonal discarded glory, a lonely little fir tree perched on high at the the top of a No Waiting sign.
There is no payment involved in these tip offs, I can assure you, but I might consider putting things on a more business like footing if they continue and are used.
Meanwhile a thank you to Marjorie for the Warriors and Peter for the tree-up-the-pole blip suggestions.
It was fortunate that the site of this blip was within striking distance of our café at the end of the canal where we could warm up with tea and toast.
We missed the inevitable rain shower as we walked home, and can now watch through window the people venturing out in the sun.
