'The Melbourne Latin Festival'

Best LARGE.

I stumbled across while MsMun was sitting in the shade having a bite after the King Kong show this afternoon at the Japanese Festival just 100 or so metres away from where I shot this one.

I loved the stage show, the visual & sound effects were incredible and King Kong himself was a sight see with about 10 or so puppeteers operating him. Glad we didn't take the kids, it would have scared them both to death, plus there would have been a million and one questions from The Boy Magician during the show. I'd recommend it to anyone who might get the chance to see it (except kids under say 10 years old).

Stinking hot again today, and a broken air conditioner in the car = not good.....

The Japanese festival around Federation square was pretty colourful too, with lots of pretty little girls and ladies running around in their kimono's sweating like crazy in this heat.

Finished the night off with a dinner at my mother in laws to celebrate Chinese New Year, the year of the horse. Happy New Year everyone.

Back home now and it's 10:30pm and still in the 30's by the feel of it, more of the same to follow again tomorrow. Some sad news also, when we arrived home tonight we found out that our other pregnant Guinea Pig had passed away sometime today before giving birth. It looked like she might have been in labour at the time, which is apparently not too uncommon for them. Poor Inky, R.I.P. We're going to have to break the news to Bella in the morning.

Also today is the 3rd anniversary of my Dad's passing and I've been spending a lot of time remembering the good times and places I've been thanks to him. Miss you heaps Dad. You will never be forgotten.

Thanks everyone for the fantastic response to Amos yesterday, I'm sure he will be thrilled.

Also, HERE is a link to some more shots from Friday if you're interested.
