Lucky escape

We were driving along the motorway in the left hand lane on the Orwell Bridge at 65 mph when BAM! and all went black - the bonnet blew open. Luckily C was driving; if it was me we might have ended up in the Orwell River. We stopped, but C couldn't get out with cars speeding past & I couldn't get the bonnet closed again, so we drove slowly - C peering through the 2" gap at the bottom of the windscreen & I having my eyes shut - to the laybye where C could force it shut again. Now the bonnet looks like this & I'll have to phone the insurance tomorrow.

In other news: We went to Coffee Morning in the morning and to the new Harvesters with C's work team in the evening.
