The Nudge

Today's the day ................. for a gig at Black Barn

Not such a good day weatherwise - and we went through a bit of rain on our way to Napier, on the southeast coast of North Island. We've spent the last two weeks trying to keep cool, so we really had to think where the wet weather gear was!

It was a shame too for the organisers of a fund-raising concert at
Black Barn Vineyards about ten miles south of Napier. The concert was in aid of the nearby Te Mata Park and the vision to build a Visitor & Education Centre within the Park to ensure the value of this wonderful community asset - its geology, ecology, history and cultural significance - is maintained and protected.

A bit of rain (which didn't last for long) could not dampen the spirits of the enthusiastic audience and it was a brilliant concert. The line-up consisted of Ben Throp & the Intimate Strangers, followed by the Tropical Downbeat Orchestra - and finally The Nudge. This is The Nudges' singer, and principal songwriter, Ryan Prebble doing his stuff .....................
