In the outfield

The doubles match today didn't start until midday so we had a leisurely breakfast in old town before getting the trolley downtown and getting off at seaport village and walking to the stadium via the bay front.

Stupidly (after over 2 yrs here) forgot to wear sunscreen and bring a hat on this bright and sunny day without a cloud in the sky! Luckily only one game but still got bad panda eyes. Blip is from the outfield of petco park looking towards home plate. The temporary tennis stadium is built next to one of the stands at the home run wall. Was good to walk on the field after watching baseball games here. Would be very intimidating playing infront of packed stands.

We lost the tennis 3-1 sets. As expected as the Bryan brothers are ranked no1 in the world and our pair had never played together before - and it showed. Still, it leaves it open tomorrow still for mum to enjoy.

Tonight we went round a friends house for a dr Doolittle session. They have 2 cats and a dog (and the 2 critter-like boys we looked after before Xmas). However they were joined by their friend who owned 2 house pigs - Kevin bacon and Gwynn. Very chilled with all the commotion - just cuddle mom all night not bothered by the dog or cat. Cool pets!

On the way home randomly was checking flight status for my training trip to Philly tomorrow for all next week. We were flying via Dallas as cheapest flight (I wanted to fly direct but cost savings prevented it). Turns our they are expecting bad weather in Dallas (although now looks like only rain - no snow) and they canceled flight from Dallas to Philly. A mad scramble trying to find out situation with fellow co worker and boss told is to get there however poss inc paying over $1000 for original direct flight that I wanted!

Called AA reservation line and told at 10pm that wait is over 2 hours and would get call back when available. Just got call back at 4:20am Sunday morning! I had already worked out that I had been rebooked on later flight via Chicago. Get in at stupid o'clock and have to be up and ready by 7:45am.....also lost all my premium economy seats so not best pleased but at least I should get there.....
