The cost of photography
Whilst digging out the box for a Nikon F70 35mm body I'm trading in as part ex for a macro lens I found its receipt. £359.90 for the body plus Sigma 24-70 lens and another £169.90 for a 70 - 300mm lens. They also gave me over £232 trade in for an old Minolta x700 with a 28mm lens. That was in 1999. How times have changed. I have just been offered £50 each for two F70 bodies and I think I was lucky to get that without the hassle of selling them privately. Most places don't accept film cameras anymore and a couple only offered me £20 in total for the two bodies.
I'm keeping my Minolta x300 35mm SLR though as I do occasionally like to use film.
