Dusk on Eastbourne Pier

... looking towards Beachy Head

Which must mean we were in Eastbourne this evening. It would have been the afternoon, but the traffic was cak.

Eastbourne provided us with bracing weather, nice views and fish and chips before we went off to visit my mother in a nearby cottage hospital.

She now looks better than I've seen her for a long time, and considering her condition (inoperable brain tumor), she's putting a brave face on it. I think being waited on hand and foot is having a beneficial effect. She seems to have retained her sense of humour too - a good sign.
