Free Hugs in Oxford....

Had a lovely day today...

The weather was disappointing, and the morning rain forced a change of plan. I had intended to go on a walking tour at 11 am but it was raining so heavily there seemed little point, given that, even if the weather was no better in the afternoon, I would be back in Oxford quite soon. I went to the indoor market instead. This was another potential disappointment as many of the shops were not open on a Sunday, but actually some really nice shops were open. I bought a beautiful little black and tan Italian leather handbag, that I am sure I will get a lot of use out of.

I was torn between just settling down in my hotel room and getting on with some work, but I was conscious my son might be disappointed if I reported that was my day. so I set out again in search of adventure. I went on a walking tour in the afternoon with Luke from Footprints, and he was very good. We had all kinds of weather on our 2 hour tour - sun, sleet, rain, hail and wind - but it was a good tour. Thank you, Luke... :)

Then had a wander about in Oxford and met these lovely young people... They were very happy to have their photo taken, but insisted on a group-hug afterwards... fine by me!... x
