End of the month

After a morning spent out delivering Yes newspapers and getting pretty soaked into the bargain, I did my usual end of the month balancing of the household accounts. This is a task I usually don't mind doing, but I never like doing it in January and seeing the devastation wrought to the account by Christmas.
