Back at the Zoo

So today William and I had a one on one day. Carys went to N&P's for the day. William had chosen the zoo during the week, despite having been there last week he was eager to go without Carys. I was relieved to find this morning that the torrential rain of last night had given way to bright sunshine and a freezing wind!

So with the boychild in charge, we saw some of the lesser visited animals, the reindeer, the penguins (as you can see), the spiders and bugs in the discovery centre, the wolverines and the bongo! We did squeeze in the elephants and a very bedraggled and muddy tiger too. Plus two rides on the bus (not a double decker to his disappointment) and an hour in the soft play. He told Daddy that he had had a lovely day and I am guessing he did as there was no silliness, no meltdowns, no shouting and no tears.
