Rochester's bean tree
..or to be more exact the Rochester Catalpa tree!
Which is apparently very ancient and has its own web site for people who are trying to protect it!
It is just outside the cathedral and can be photographed with the castle or cathedral as a backdrop.
It's funny really, I walk past it so often and through all seasons and I have taken pictures of it in flower and in full foliage modes but until today I have not used it on blip.
It is fenced off to stop little beasties climbing children and canines getting to it. It has leant over so far it is actually impaled on the fencing.
I did a Demelza shift this afternoon to make up for crying off on Monday. I met some 'new' volunteers - (all very young and keen).
I bagged a good hand made jumper and an attractive summer handbag... yay!
