The first of our in-service days today; I had a mountain of things I wanted to get done, but ended up spending most of the time on the phone and on email.

Scottish Opera are coming into school next week to do a specially written opera with the S.1 classes and all the P.7s from the feeder primaries. It has involved a mountain of organisation, and every time I think that I have cracked it, something else comes up which has to be dealt with.

I love these opportunities which I can get for the kids, but it will also be good to get back to normal. Oh dear - getting old......

Dimairt and I had a good walk by the river, which cleared the head.
