South Coast Scribblings

Stormy weather

While trying to find a photo of something in our half drowned garden before the rain came - again! - I looked up from the dross and saw this sky.

Awful afternoon with the new photocopier at church. We took the car round (fortunately) as I needed to come home to copy some things off the stupid CD instruction booklet. They give you a big booklet and you think - great, that'll have all the information we need. Then you find out most of it is in foreign languages and you need to refer to the CD. We have no printer connected to the PC at church and one can hardly keep running from the computer in the church to the photocopier in the vestry! The problem was - and is - that how to do double-sided copies is totally unclear - even in the so-called advanced details on the CD. I had two large batches of double sided documents to do. I ended up with having to feed the paper through twice for the news sheets (and it jammed and some of the copies ended up upside down!) I then decided to just print the other document as two separate sheets, which we then had to staple together (thank goodness Stuart was helping me!) Even he was frazzled by it all!

I have a friend coming round for the day tomorrow, and I think we will have a chill-out day after church in the morning. I need one after today!
