Strung

I have always found the inside of a grand piano to be incredibly beautiful and am constantly amazed at the amount of pressure being exerted on the strings - averaging approximately 90kg per string for our Yamaha C3!
I've been well informed that if one of these strings snaps, it always flies away from the pianist, which is definitely a relief. However, it isn't a theory I'm willing to try out in the near future!
