Clear Up

The beach at Levenwick has been pounded for a few weeks now from Easterly gales. This has pushed sand further up the burn causing it to block the flow of water. As a result there is flooding in the fields further back so this JCB came in today to clear the sand away.

The beach here has lost quite a bit of the dunes to storms over the last couple of years as can be seen from the dune on the right hand side.
