We'll not be going down that way then!
Woke to a thin covering of snow this morning and even though the forecast was for rain, we decided to go walking anyway. By the time we got to the car park the rain was coming down heavily. We headed up the forestry track towards Ben Ledi. We never intended to go up but had intended on doing the loop that intersects the path up the Ben and comes back down to the cycle path. It climbs quite high and you get some great views on a clear day.
We got a bit wet and then it turned to snow and then went off. It was pretty much off and on snow or rain the whole way. We discussed the possibility of going down into the woods, joining the path down Ben Ledi but it turned out that it was blocked by fallen trees so we continued with our original plan. About half a mile on, this is what we came across. I did crawl under but only saw more of the same across the track, as far as the eye could see, so we turned around and did something we rarely do.......went back the way we came.
I was a bit cold and damp when we got back, a hot shower and some food soon sorted that. It was good to get out in the fresh air and get some exercise.
