Is it safe to go for the crumbs?

The aim was to capture a bird - any bird - in the snow before it disappeared. We possibly have two robins, this one with the thin line of white feathers under the wing, the other robin without the white. I need to see the two together to be sure, and it's 'that' time of the year

The Niger seed is attracting a steady flow (flight) of siskins and goldfinch, it's taken them a few days to find the feeder and apparently another two feeders are on the way, via a carrier pigeon perhaps. The order was placed by accident however we decided another couple feeders can only be good.
