Flowers in the heat

It's been so hot. I wonder why I didn't notice the heat as much when I was younger? Flowers don't seem to mind it and nor do animals ... maybe because they can listen to their bodies and hang about in the shade? On these hot days I find my most productive time is between 05h00 and 09h00.
