high desert winds

You cannot quite tell from this photo, but it was very, very windy up in Hesperia on this day. We were nearly blown away when we attempted to get from the car into the Alberto's restaurant.

Good news, by the by. I'm definitely allergic to avocados, but it turns out that it's mild oral allergy syndrome (or something like that) and as long as I take an over-the-counter fast melting tablet directly after eating a small portion of avocado, I will likely live. Hooray! Very happy to not have lost avocado. And on this day, I tested the theory by eating rolled tacos with guacamole (we call 'em taquitos). I didn't eat all the guacamole that they served me, just a taste. And it was delicious!
