Somerset....

Today we drove from Glastonbury to take M in L to see her cousin in Beaminster, over an hour away.
We had to turn round very early on due the road being closed beacause of flooding - first picture. It poured with rain non stop and the second picture is a view from my seat in the car!
On the way we had a very lucky escape when we were driving along, there was a road approaching from the right. A car pulled out right at us and my husband had to take emergency action and drive off the road onto the verge. The car missed us by half and inch! After all that, it appeared that the driver was completely oblivious to the fact he had nearly hit us!
Anyway, we went out for a lovely pub lunch and had a good time despite getting soaked getting there and soaked getting back!!
