Aloe Ecklonis

We had torrential rain overnight that continued for most of the morning giving the ground a much needed soaking although flash floods in certain areas closed schools and caused a lot of challenges on the roads.

It seems that this aloe was waiting for the rain as there was no sign of a flower when I left for work but it was in full bloom when I got home.
