Sunset over Snells

I've been trying to find out what critter this is. It looks closest to some type of longhorn beetle - the photo was taken with my phone, at night, so it's not very good, but there're plenty in the bathroom each night so I've been getting a good look. The problem is that it doesn't look enough like any one to be certain, besides the largest ones we have are only 8mm long, and the longhorns are all 20-30mm long..! So I am befuddled.

Meanwhile we have a very welcome visitor this evening, my mother's cousin from London.
