Sunrise from the Britten Reserve
Well, the early morning was definitely the best part of the day today. I took the iphone up the hill, and have been taking more interest in what settings it chooses as I've noticed my shots aren't always as sharp as they might be. Even in lowish light, the phone picks iso 50 (I am assured it has some higher settings to choose from), so shutter speed can be as low as 1/15 or 1/20, not easy to hand hold. I've already learnt not to use the zoom function, you may as well crop later. I believe I can get an app that will allow me to select shutter speed etc, but not sure about iso. But do I really want to get that serious with a phone, when I have two perfectly good cameras?
I did some tripod work today, but didn't like any of the results, so that's yet one more day into next week before I can leave my tripod behind again.
