Stolen beauty

The lengths one goes to when desperate for a blip - knicked this from the neighbour's bush. I'll probably be evicted from the mews now, her ex and children are police bigwigs :-( And now I realize that black felt just doesn't hack it as a background.

But desperate times call for desperate measures - and today qualifies. Some small victories have however been won, after hard battles. The defective water pressure pump will be repaired, again , free of charge, though no longer under guarantee; the defective multifunctional printer is now winging its way back to HP, who are supposedly planning to replace it; papers that had to be scanned and printed - difficult when said gadget on the blink - have been dealt with, notarised and sent off; and our semi-permanent, non-paying lodger has ungraciously agreed to cede our airconditioned spare room to enable our English visitor to get at least two nights sleep before she leaves. I'm sure there's another victory in there, but two tired to remember - ah yes, actually managed to do a small translation.

Alas, no news of HH's iPhone, and the taxi driver, who failed to answer requests to contact the dispatcher yesterday also failed to turn up for work today. Hmm, wonder why. So with just 1 1/2 hours at the phone company, since neither their automated customer service line nor the website function properly, I managed to get the phone number back and in a mere 24 hours it will be reconnected. Had to buy another chip though - and since I'm not give up my Galaxy, HH is going to look very sweet using our daughter's very old, purple phone until we manage to get someone to bring in an iPhone.

Guest is preparing salad for supper - things are looking up.
