How simple is this?

The simplicity of China has always fascinated, delighted and intrigued me. Never more so than today when I spotted this crossing guard with his sign for when people are allowed to cross the street. In just about every language,. Thumbs up means yes... Thumbs down means no. How simple is that.

I sort of apologise for the quality. The pic was taken through the back window of a taxi on a busy street. I think it suited the pic.
