Drifting small ice rafts and Emma statues

It was another lovely sunny day today! I saw a very special phenomenon in Tammerkoski. There was a bunch of small round ice rafts drifting around. It was very fascinating sight!

Me and my friend Niina will start a sculpting course in February and today we went to Valimoinstituutti to get some wax so we can make wax models before the course starts. In the course we'll create bronze sculptures with Lost-wax casting - method.

In Valimoinstituutti they are casting Emma statues for the Emma-gala where they award he most distinguished artists and music professionals of the year with  Emma Awards. We saw the set of brand new draft statues! Very impressive sight indeed! The bronze Emma statue weights over 3 kg and with stone bed the trophy weighs over 5 kg, that's a heavy prize!
We played award winners and posed with those statues, of course.

It was _very_ difficult decision whether to choose ice rafts or Emma-statues for today's blip. Since Niina blipped Emmas, I decided to blip the natural phenomenon. BTW, Niina started her 365 project 30 days ago, and I'm sure she would love to get some encouragement!
