Maltese buses

If only Edinburgh could take on board some of the ideas of the Maltese.

Malta has some old buses. Some *really* old buses. Because of this the fares for them is extremely low (?0.47)! In stark contrast Edinburgh has the youngest fleet of buses in the UK because of investment in their fleet we have a single fare of £1.20 - about treble that of Malta.

Admittedly, Malta lacks buses that can kneel to allow prams and wheelchair users onto them. Also, Edinburgh drivers are probably more disciplined in their driving style. Maybe the Maltese are just mad drivers......
