Water, water everywhere....

I took the dog to the water meadows for her walk today.

With the wettest January on record, a string of ponds has appeared, each fed by a spring, bubbling water up from underground.

Being half Labrador and half Lurcher the dog has a love hate relationship with water that always makes me laugh. You can see the Labrador half egging her to swim and the Lurcher half absolutely hating the whole idea.

These shallow ponds and the perfect solution, she can run through them flat out and retrieve sticks without having to swim.

Here, she has paused - mid pond - for a quick drink.
