NO PARKING IN GALA !!

I had an even earlier start today than I had planned, I got a phone call last night at about eight o'clock asking me to do a shift that started at five thirty this morning. I jumped at it as it is probably my favourite shift - twice to Edinburgh on the 62s.

By the time I finished and got back up to the depot for my car it was starting to get dark and it was raining so I didn't bother trying to climb the steps for a picture. I had taken this shot on my break and it kind of sums up the centre of Galashiels at the moment - there's no parking! What this traffic cone is doing on an enclosed piece of ground between a footpath and the Gala Water is beyond me, maybe now that there is no parking in the accessible areas of the town centre, the council is making absolutely sure there is no parking in the inaccessible areas either.

I'm on a late shift tomorrow and don't start till 1335 - it's all good!
